Old Woven Wicker Italian Wine Bottle and similar items

Old WOVEN WICKER Italian Wine Bottle JUG DEMIJOHN 2177 These truly OLD Wicker Wrapped Wine Jugs are just getting almost Impossible to find anymore (and more and more Expensive when we DO find them). No wonder........as they've become so collectible most people won't part with them once they have at least ONE. It's a real art form and one can only Imagine the amount of work and time that went into actually creating them. The truly OLD ones like this are NOT going to be in PERFECT condition (that's the CHARM of them). There will be breaks to the weave. However those that still display well are Highly sought after by Designers and collectors alike. We take INDIVIDUAL Pictures of EACH wicker jug we ever carry so the pictures you see BELOW are of the ACTUAL jug you will RECEIVE. The interior bottle is clear and PERFECTLY intact. The cork stopper is stuck inside the opening and I've not bothered to try to remove it. There are breaks to the weave (MOST are just up at the top)....but MUCH of the weave still remains. The weave that exists is still nice tight too. When we found it, the weave was VERY dry and drab. We simply applied some of our bees wax solution to revitalize it. Other than that, we don't clean these pieces at all other than knocking the dust off of them. We made the mistake of doing that once and were informed that real collectors like them in the exact used patina they're found in. So we leave that to you. Nice at 14 3/4" Tall, 8 1/2" Wide. These have become EXTREMELY Popular in the Interior Design Market with designers using them to grace everything from kitchen countertops to fireplace mantels. They display them as is.............or some put a candle in the opening...... others use dried floral items to stick out the top opening for a stunning arrangement.
