Old Woven Wicker Italian Wine Bottle Jug Demijohn NO contents....Empty...the value is in the Jug 1010 These truly OLD Wicker Wrapped Wine Jugs are just getting almost Impossible to find anymore (and more and more Expensive when we DO find them). No wonder........as they've become so collectible most people won't part with them once they have at least ONE. It's a real art form and one can only Imagine the amount of work and time that went into actually creating them. The truly OLD ones like this are NOT going to be in PERFECT condition. There will be breaks to the weave......however those that still display well are Highly sought after by Designers and collectors alike. We take INDIVIDUAL Pictures of EACH wicker jug we ever carry so the pictures you see BELOW are of theACTUAL jug you will RECEIVE. This one is missing several pieces of the center weave on ONE side. We painted the glass underneath the breaks in the weave WHITE so that THAT area would blend in better with the surrounding wicker. The bottom weave is long gone. I only gave the interior bottle a good rinsing once-over. I actually like the ones like this even with the breaks because it makes it a more interesting visual piece. Nice at 13 7/8" Tall, 8". These have become EXTREMELY Popular in the Interior Design Market with designers using them to grace everything from kitchen countertops to fireplace mantels. They display them as is.............or some put a candle in the opening...... others use dried floral items to stick out the top opening for a stunning arrangement.
