Ivy, English Ivy, or Hedera helix, This Variegated Variety can be Grown Indoors or Outdoors unrooted Cuttings 4-6 inches long. English Ivy is not only a great houseplant for beginners and experienced gardeners alike, but it is also easy to propagate in water. It has small variegated- green/white foliage. This Variety also grows outdoors in our garden spreading flat on the ground. It survives our Southern Ontario winters. May or may not survive outdoors in colder climates. We will send you Ivy Cuttings for you to start. Strip away the bottom leaves, leaving some nodes behind. Place the ivy in water. Use a clear glass container (Allows you to see the progress. Leave in bright, indirect light and temperatures of 65-80F (18-27C) for 4-6 weeks. Change the water every other week unless it looks dirty. If the water seems to be dirty, you can change it weekly. Do make sure you top off the water regularly to keep the nodes of the stem completely submerged. Keep the leaves above the waterline. There should be roots growing within three weeks, and your ivy should be ready to transplant within four to six weeks. Transplant the cuttings to soil when the roots grow to about two inches long. English Ivy cuttings s are shipped in flat envelopes to keep costs low. The cuttings and/or leaves may be bent but will rebound quickly.
