Tradescantia Zebrina Cuttings- Inch Plant- Spiderwort- Wandering Jew, Wandering Dude, Hanging Plant, Purple Stripe Plant, Unrooted Plant Cuttings, Easy to Root Tradescantia zebrina, formerly known as Zebrina pendula, is a species of spiderwort. It is sometimes known as inch plant, but its preferred common name is wandering jew, a common name it shares with some closely related species. More recently zebrina has been dubbed WANDERING DUDE Wandering dudes are valued for their vigorous growth and colorful foliage, which can be striped with green, silver, and purple! They have trailing vines that flow from their base and are a very easy plant to care for. Indoors, select a location that delivers medium to bright light. Keep them out of direct sunlight and out of dark areas, which will cause them to become leggy. Wandering dudes are a tropical species native to the Americas, but may be considered invasive species in warm regions outside of their home ranges (including in parts of the southeastern U.S.) When planted outdoors, make sure to locate your Wandering Dude plants outside in a shady area in pots or planted in the ground during the summer months. Cuttings will form roots very quickly- Place in a clear glass and you should see roots within days. We don't recommend paying a premium for rooted cuttings. These plant will root with just a hint of water. Tradescantias are shipped in flat envelopes to keep costs low. The cuttings and/or leaves may be bent but will rebound quickly.
