Elephant bush houseplants thrive in bright light in a warm, draft free room. These succulents need well drained soil and an unglazed pot that will help excess moisture evaporate. Do not overwater. These plants are best neglected as far as watering goes. Indoors, they can go for a couple of weeks without watering. Better less water than more. Portulacaria can also be used for bonsai.
