Vintage original 27x41 in. US one-sheet poster from the popular 1980's Australian-produced sci-fi action/adventure drama, MAD MAX BEYOND THUNDERDOME, released in the US in 1985 by Warner Bros. and directed by George Miller and George Ogilvie. After being exiled from the most advanced town in post apocalyptic Australia, a drifter (Mel Gibson) travels with a group of abandoned children to rebel against the town's queen (Tina Turner). The cast includes Bruce Spence, Adam Cockburn, Frank Thring, Angelo Rossitto, and Paul Larsson.
This poster was designed by legendary movie poster artist Richard Amsel and depicts beautiful portraits of Mad Max (Mel Gibson) and Aunty Entity (Tina Turner), each holding their weapon of choice, with the abandoned children beneath them. Mr. Amsel's signature is depicted on the top of Gibson's left shoulder. Unrestored and rolled as originally issued, this vintage original one-sheet is in very fine condition with light signs of minimal wear on the corners and along the top edge. There are no pinholes, tears, stains, or other flaws and the rich color tints are fresh and vibrant without any signs of fading.
