Item description
Vintage original 27 x 41 in. US one-sheet poster from the 1960's WWI documentary, THE GUNS OF AUGUST, released in 1964 by Universal-International and directed by Nathan Kroll. Based upon Barbara Tuchman's Pulitzer Prize-winning best seller and narrated by Arthur Tourtellot, the film traces the origins and actions of World War I, from the funeral of Britain's King Edward VII to the Versailles Treaty.
This one-sheet is very striking in person, as you can fully appreciate the bright, fluorescent orange that contrasts with the stark black-and-white design. Unrestored and folded as originally issued, it is in very fine condition without any pinholes, tears, creases, stains, writing, or other flaws.
