Genuine McKee Glass Opaque White Milk Glass and 23 similar items

This is a genuine McKee cat covered dish from the early 1900s. Its ears are chipped, so it looks like it got in a fight in its youth, but it's been behaving nicely on my shelf for over a decade. The lid is marked McKee in the glass. The base is the slightly flared version that some collectors believe was not made by McKee. It is not marked. However, I have been studying the patterns on the bottom of various split rib bases... and this one IS McKee. The ribs on the bottom go ALL the way to the center. The only brand of split rib bases on which the ribs go all the way to the center like this, is McKee. (Summit and St. Clair almost go all the way, but have sort of a smudge over the very center. Kemple and Wheaton don't go all the way. Degenhart and Boyd go all the way but are clearly incised, and not like McKee's. NMGCS bases are made from the Boyd mold.) The cat covered dish is 5 1/2 inches long, 4 1/4 inches wide, 4 1/2 inches tall and weighs 1 pound 1 ounce. There are 1-2 chips off the top of each ear. The cat's right ear was not shortened (the chips are in the front edge of the ear), but the left one was. There are 3 very fine hairline cracks in the rim. The ones in the front edge and back edge are 1/4" long. The one on the end extends to the tail and is about 7/16" long (i.e. not quite 1/2"). On the back edge of the rim there is some extra glass and there is some minor roughness caused by minuscule chips/nicks in the extra glass, for 1/2 inch, plus in another area less than 1/8" long, and another minuscule nick in the extra glass. The base is in perfect condition except for one minuscule chip (about 1/16" wide) on one scallop. My last 2 photos show the cat's ears from both sides.
