Antique Milk Glass 3 1/2" Westmoreland OLD and 23 similar items

This milk glass oaken bucket was made by Westmoreland Specialty Company. It has the blunt, straight edge on the end of the straps around the boards, which is a Westmoreland trait. (The similar Bryce buckets have pointed ends on their straps.) It was painted brown on the wood and silver on the straps and hardware. Some of the paint has worn off, but most is still present. There are paint smudges on the bottom, and the mold number 3 embossed in the glass. This glass bucket is 3 1/2 inches tall, 3 1/4 inches wide at the top and 2 3/4 inches wide at the base. It weighs 8.8 ounces. This antique Old Oaken Bucket container is in very good condition for its age. There are 2 small age-related hairline cracks in the rim. One is 1/4" long and the other is just barely there, not more than 1/16" long. There also are 3 minuscule nicks in the outer edge of the rim, one is less than 1/8" long and the others are too small to measure. This bucket has most of its original paint, but is missing its wire bail handle. (Someone who is good with manipulating wire could create a replacement handle. It would need wire with a memory so it will retain its shape after it's bent correctly.) This will be shipped by USPS Ground Advantage rate (except for International).
