2 Rosenthal Gala Blue CLASSIC ROSE Footed and 12 similar items

These are 2 (two) Rosenthal Continental Gala Blue Classic Rose footed cup and saucer sets. The cup is approximately 3" tall including the foot and 3 3/4" across at the top of the cup not including the handle. The saucer is approximately 6 3/8" across. Rosenthal made several cup sizes in this pattern, so please measure carefully if you are trying to match. The bodies of the cup and saucer are white. Each has a blue luster band running around the edge. The blue band is approximately 1/4" wide and the total band with the gold is approximately 3/8" wide. The band runs along the inside of the cup at the top. The underside of each piece is marked Classic Rose Rosenthal Group Germany. The cup holds approximately 4 ounces. The shape of this pattern is, I believe, Form 2000. This pattern was purchased during the 1960s and 1970s. It was rarely used and I am not sure this cup and saucer were ever used. They have been stored away for decades in quilted china pouches with separators to minimize stacking marks. There are no chips, cracks, crazing, scratches, stains or gold loss. This form and pattern was designed for Rosenthal by Raymond Loewy, the great industrial designer. I am now downsizing and am selling this china. Non-smoking household.
