A novel based on the lives of the author and his friends who grew up in Ocean Beach, California in the 1940's and 50's. Don Mellon was born in San Diego California. During the 1940's and 50's his friends and he spent all of their leisure time at the beach and nearby bay. Their life revolved around fishing, swimming, surfing and diving in the ocean to catch fish, abalone and lobster. He and his close friends served in the military during the Korean War years. In the early 1950's they came home to their beloved surfing and diving spots but the youth that was interrupted could not be regained.
