OCTOPUSSY (1983) Advance 1-Sheet Style B and 50 similar items

Vintage original 27x41 in. US "Style B" advance one-sheet poster from the classic 1980's James Bond 007 action/adventure thriller, OCTOPUSSY, released in 1983 by MGM/UA and directed by John Glen. Based upon the James Bond stories by Ian Fleming, a fake Fabergé egg and a fellow Agent's death lead James Bond (Roger Moore) to uncover an international jewel-smuggling operation, headed by the mysterious Octopussy (Maud Adams), being used to disguise a nuclear attack on N.A.T.O. forces. As indicated in the bottom right border, this is the film's "Style B" advance one-sheet poster, that was issued in "advance" of the film coming out in theaters (which indicated a Summer 1983 release), with artwork designed by Dan Goozee. The image features terrific artwork depicting a large full-length image of James Bond 007 (Roger Moore) looking dapper in a tuxedo as he holds up his gun as the barrel is being rubbed by the film's beautiful female villain, Octopussy (Maud Adams), as her multiple hands perform a multiple of services and surprises. This vintage original advance one-sheet is folded as originally issued in near-fine condition with a hard vertical fold line that could be easily flattened; a small area of separation on each of the three center crossfolds; horizontal signs of wear along th bottom 4 inches of the poster; a 4 in. diagonal crease on the bottom left corner; signs of light wear on the bottom border; and random small creases in the image area that are unobtrusive. The color tints are fresh and vibrant without any signs of fading. The Style B advance one-sheet is the superior image of the two different styles.
