There are some chips on the back corners of the frame, some gaps in the back black surface which we'll fix before shipping. There are also some gaps in the seams of the front of the frame in the corners which we can't fix and probably occurred do to wear, but it's still an attractive piece. Surface Treatment: Textured Canvas. This Thomas Kinkade Framed Print is a reproduction of the original Oil Painting named "The Light of Peace". It was from his series called Seaside Memories III created in 1996. The main subject is of a lighthouse near a cliff with a cottage in the background and steps leading up to it. The ocean shows some choppiness but there is a light showing at the base of the lighthouse which reflects the sun breaking through the clouds. The scene looks to be at sunset or perhaps dawn and is probably after a storm. Kinkade is the known as the painter of light and he uses this technique throughout this scene. Canvas board is used for this print which gives the look of canvas without the bulkiness. The image was photo transferred onto this material. There is a metal hanger on the back and also a yellow ribbon if the desire is to hang by the ribbon instead. The corners of the frame do not come together exactly at the seams. This would be a delightful accent to a home that appreciates fine oil painting and especially enjoys Thomas Kinkade's work.
