Design: Cylindrical. Material: Stoneware. Technique: Poured into a mold, glazed, kiln fired. Condition: Used in Good Condition. No chips, cracks, fleabites, repairs or scratches. This is a delightful Studio Art Pottery Vase with an Iris Image on one side. The foot is unglazed to prevent getting stuck to the kiln surface while firing. The Iris has been applied and the background oval is left unglazed. The iris image has been pressed into the oval and painted with a matte blue glaze. The rest has been painted with layers of shiny glaze in hues of tan, purple, magenta, and blue. These layers have merged with one another and show a cohesive transition from one to another. The original form was poured into a mold, glazed, and kiln fired. The corners of this vase are square but the rest of the vase remains cylindrical. The lip is dented at the corners to provide a decorative element to the style. Used in Good Condition. No chips, cracks, fleabites, repairs or scratches.
