This is a delightful Cloissone Metal Bell, that is covered in various floral images. The top of the handle even has a flower. The technique is one in which brass or copper outlines are soldered to a base, powdered enamel is filled in, and then it goes into an enamel kiln which heats it up until the enamel melts and turns to glass. The item is then filed to a smooth finish. The tricky part is that this bell is not a flat item, so it is amazing that the enamel didn't drip out of the shapes while being melted.
