Vintage 1950’s Arak Brac 43 Chronograph Type and 30 similar items

This is a large wrist watch from the 1950?s. Quite rare and unusual. Movement is a less often seen Brac 43. There is not much info available on it. The Brac 43 watch movement is equipped with a pin-lever escapement and features an indirect minute hand friction clutch on the barrel. (Roskopf type) Notably, it incorporates a single component that combines the roles of the setting-lever spring, yoke, and yoke spring. This movement offers manual winding and sweep second function. The Brac 43 was primarily used during the approximate period of the 1950?s. By the pushers this watch looks like a chronograph but you will immediately notice the absence of sub dials. Here is how the watch works: The lower pusher stops the whole movement together with the seconds hands. The upper pusher starts it. This way you can use it as a quasi-stop watch but the seconds hand can?t be set to zero. You can only stop / start the watch. That's all it does. When you push the lower pusher you practically switch the watch completely off. It will stop running and will stay that way until you switch it back on with the upper pusher. Watch is working and all original.
