Description: Vitex, commonly known as Chaste Tree or Texas Lilac, is a beautiful heirloom plant prized for its fragrant blue-purple blooms and medicinal properties. Historically used as an herbal remedy, it has also become a favorite for its ornamental value. This fast-growing tree can reach up to 7 feet in its first season and is often maintained at heights of 10 feet or less through regular pruning. The Vitex is perfect for warm climate gardens, attracting pollinators such as bees and butterflies with its fragrant, colorful flowers. It thrives in full sun and is an excellent choice for xeriscaping or low-water gardens.
Growing Instructions:
Seed Treatment: Soak seeds in water for 24 hours (viable seeds will float).
