This size is perfect for larger headed horses and mules. This vintage, Made in Japan stamped plated iron bit has 2-1/2 inch diameter rings and a jointed 5 inch wide smooth snaffle mouthpiece. The single-jointed mouthpiece applies specific pressure to the tongue, lips and bars of the horse's mouth when the reins are engaged. The traditional ring cheek piece gives this bit a classic finish suitable for several English and Western disciplines. The bit is in clean, well maintained vintage pre owned condition with some very light rusting. The leather curb strap is clean and recently conditioned.
