The wide medium port curb is considered to be a mild level 3 type bit. The shanks measure 7-1/2 inches in length and the purchase measures 3 inches for a 2.5 to 1 leverage ratio. The bit weighs a nice lightweight 13 ounces. With a medium degree of leverage, this shank bit provides an indirect curb rein action designed to be used with a curb strap attached to the purchase.
