*FUTUREWORLD (1976) Peter Fonda, Blythe and similar items

Vintage original 11x14 in. US lobby card from the 1970's sci-fi thriller, FUTUREWORLD, released in 1987 by American International Pictures (AIP) and directed by Richard T. Heffron. In this follow-up to Westworld (1974), pon uncovering the dirty secret of futuristic theme-park Futureworld, an ex-employee is killed after he tips off two other reporters who decide to do an undercover investigation. The cast includes Peter Fonda, Blythe Danner, Arthur Hill, Yul Brynner, John P. Ryan, Stuart Margolin, and Allen Ludden. As indicated near the left corner of the bottom border, this is lobby card #7 from the set of 8 cards. The scene depicts Tracy "Socks" Ballard (Blythe Danner) looking at one of many then-high tech computers in the underground control center of Futureworld. It is unrestored in fine condition with small creases and signs of wear on and around the top corners; a 1.5 in. horizontal crease and signs of wear on the bottom right corner; a 1 in. vertical crease just above the left side of the NSS credits; and random signs of wear along the edge of the left border. Futureworld was Yul Brynner's final film before his death on October 10, 1985 at the age of 65.
