Item description

Vintage original 11x14 in. US lobby card from the 1970's vampire-themed horror film, DEATHMASTER (AKA The Deathmaster), released in 1972 by American International Pictures (AIP) and directed by Ray Danton. Khorda (Robert Quarry) is a mysterious, articulate stranger who draws a cult-like following of local hippies. Rather than showing them peace and love, he has more sinister plans for them, as he is a vampire. As indicated in the center of the bottom border, this is lobby card #4 from the set of 8 cards. The image depicts an atmospheric stop on a staircase as Rona Ashby (Brenda Dickson) encounters Pico (Bill Ewing). The border artwork at the right features the artwork that dominates the film's corresponding one-sheet poster. It is unrestored in fine condition with alight water stain along various portions of the bottom border; a few creases of varying sizes on each top corner; and slight signs of wear on the bottom corners.
