Item description
We just love this plant! They were blissfully asleep this winter and are now AWAKE! These little Buddha Belly Plants are from our Buddha Belly Mother Plant! She has given us many babies! Easy to grow the Buddha Belly Plant LOVES the hot summer sun! Water when dry and in time you will see her belly grow!
Buddha Belly plants, named for their big belly trunks, make great container plants since the bright red flowers attract butterflies and hummingbirds alike. It's unusual shape makes the Buddha Belly a prized ornamental houseplant to add to your collections. The seed pods will pop open when they dry out and throw their seeds up to 6 feet away! Crazy....
PLANT CARE:
What is the best light for Buddha Belly Plants? Jatropha plants prefer bright sunlight and can happily tolerate partial shade as well. They will thrive on a well lit patio in the spring and summer, and should be brought inside during colder weather and put near a nice bright window.
