Red Snapper-
Spinach with unique leaf shape and red veins. This variety of spinach has dark green leaves that are deeply lobed, with red petioles and veins. It bears a resemblance to arugula or Italian dandelion. For optimal growth and easy harvesting, it is advisable to sow the seeds densely. This spinach is also cold tolerant, making it suitable for winter tunnel production. Despite the cold weather, it maintains its small size while growing densely. Due to the tendency to bolt under pressure in spring and summer, it can only be harvested once during those seasons. However, in fall and winter, there is potential for multiple cut-and-come-again harvests. Additionally, this variety exhibits high resistance against downy mildew races 1–7, 9,and 11–17.
Space-
This easy-to-grow, nutritious, cool-season crop is among the first greens ready to harvest. But plant it early because it’s quick to turn bitter and go to seed (bolt) as the weather warms and the days lengthen. Dark green color and handsome texture of savoyed varieties are great for edible landscaping.
