Bought new and watched only once and naturally everything looks like new. It appears to be a dvd-r which means it will not play in recordable devices such as computers or burning decks. Siblings Monroe (token white boy and shell-shocked Iraq veteren) and Hilary (bratty sister know-it-all) have discovered that they have inherited a lake house and to make things even better, the famous horror author Stephen King is rumored to live somewhere nearby. They decide to take their cliche' filled friends: Lamont, the token black friend and expert navigator. Ronnie, a Stephen King junkie, porn enthusiast and creepy virgin. Nicole, the attention grabbing, life-of-the-party, self-centered flirt with a great pair of... personality! and Lori, the foresaken girlfriend with dreams of motherhood and another great pair of... all go to the lake house to check things out. Upon arrival, they are greeted by unfriendly townspeople who hate noise and tom-foolery almost as much as they hate uninvited guests and questions about their most famous resident. As dead bodies begin to mount, one thing becomes clear: The friends must piece together the clues and save themselves before their own Stephen King nightmare is written. This is more of a slasher parody with few and suttle references to the author's works, so don't expect a lot of that despite the title and you may be pleasently surprised.
