Rare original pamphlet occasioned by the death of Dr. John Wilson of Brattleboro, who was actually John Doherty of Ireland, the famous highwayman known in the British Press as Captain Thunderbolt. Wilson's home is shown on the cover. Wilson's story is a sensational one!
10" x 6.5". Original string-bound pamphlet with illustrated cover. The confession is 30 pages followed by a 12-page account written by Wilson. Lastly, there is a 3-page addenda offering some medical proof that Wilson was indeed Wilson was Capt. Thunderbolt based on a partial amputation of his foot.
Rare, original publication from 1850!
