Item description

About the main stone of the decoration Tanzanite - the mineral can be considered one of the youngest stones in history - it was discovered in 1967 at the foot of Mount Kilimanjaro. At first, tanzanite was mistaken for sapphire and no one attached any significance to it. Later, studies showed that the blue gem is a type of zoisite stone - a fairly well-known mineral that is not used in jewelry. It is a transparent, fragile and soft mineral. The stone has pleochroism - the ability to change shades depending on the viewing angle. This means that if you look at tanzanite from different sides, the colors will seem different. In daylight, they seem blue, and indoors they change color to purple. ?1259180030
