The Santons (or little saints) are small, about 10"-101/2" tall for the standing figures and are hand painted terra-cotta nativity scene figurines. They were produced in the Provence region of France and they represent various characters from Provencal village life. All the figures on a round base and have the addition orange seal "Syndicat Des Santonniers de Provence and Veritable Santon d'Argile." These really are quite interesting pieces.
