Item description

You are buying One well rooted White Blackberry Rubus 'Snowbank', 10-15” tall plant. Plant will be pruned back to 10-15 inches if it outgrows shipping box during the summer. Another Luther Burbank winner! Snow-white berries are translucent, milky-white in color but have all the flavor of a “normal” blackberry. The drupelets look like tiny pearls and are simply beautiful little fruits. Berries stay whiter than other similar varieties as berries ripen, and with much better flavor. A vigorous, trailing-type grower with good disease-resistance. Ripens in late July. Originated in 1916 by Luther Burbank as an improved form of his original white blackberry, ‘Iceberg’. Self-pollinating. Luther Burbank Variety! Luther Burbank (1849-1926), was an American plant breeder with over 50 years experience developing renowned plant varieties — many of which are still used today. Height: 4 - 6 feet Spacing: Space 4 - 6 feet apart in the row. Leave 8 - 10 feet between rows. Depth: Dig a hole twice the size of the pot the plant is in. Plant at the same depth as it was in the pot. Spread: 4 - 6 feet Light Required: Full Sun Pollinator: Self-pollinating. Yield: Produces fruit on second-year canes. Color: White Foliage: Light green leaves mature to a bright green. Leaves and canes lack the hint of red usually present in blackberries. Blooms: Late Spring, Early Summer Fruit: Creamy white, sweet berries that are larger than a standard wild blackberry. Hardy Zones 5-8 Plants are dormant November until April - no leaves, bare root. Quick shipping methods will keep plants in the best shape for its trip across the country. I prefer to ship on Mondays or Wednesdays. Shipping with tracking number.
