West African prunus, yellow plum, sometimes called wild yellow plum is native to Togo and Ghana. it grows up 3 to 6 meters tall forming extensive thorny stems and branches in the wild. It grows with multiple stems with branches that have brownish bark, and it yields are rounded yellow when ripe with thin skin. The yellow plum is very sweet and has a tart aftertaste due to the skin.
