Item description

There is a date stamp of May 17, 1945 on the reverse and the prisoners were taken on May 14 so this stands to be an original period photo released to newspapers and magazines. Hand written notation "Eur War - Prisoners - Germans In U.S.". Has only a little light wear. It is not the sharpest image ever and probably was not taken by a professional but it is apparently what the press received.
