This extremely rare reversible rail car seat is in excellent condition. The purpose of this type of seat is to swing the back around so that the rider is facing forward when the train reverses direction. Not sure if it has been restored or not or if original, but has a velvety red fabric. The right end is finished in what seems to be oak. The other side is meant to be affixed to the side of the car, hence the non presence of a finished wood side as are the two feet, which are now attached to small strips of wood for stability. Seats are very comfortable in either direction.
