Up for sale today is a cookie jar or biscuit barrel, in the shape of a teapot. It is a mirror finish black with a heavy glaze and has a cold-painted decor of strawberries. It is unmarked so probably from Ransbottom, as they made many stoneware items. It measures 6 1/2" tall and is 8 1/2" wide from spout to handle. The last 2 photos show factory flaws on spout and handle where glaze and color didn't cover, this is also something that happened in this type of glazing of stoneware.
