Item description

The Vintage Sony SLV-595HF 4 Head Hi-Fi Stereo VCR is a sought-after piece of vintage audio and video equipment. Made in Japan, this Video Cassette Player is reliable and provides high-quality playback of VHS tapes. With four heads, it offers superior picture and sound quality, perfect for audiophiles and video enthusiasts looking to experience retro entertainment in a classic setting. Please note that this VCR is mostly working, making it a unique find for collectors and enthusiasts of vintage electronics. *Testing Notes* When I originally bought this unit, I hooked it up and it worked with no issues whatsoever, immediately able to power up and play the VHS that came in the unit and I was able to put the VHS in and out of the unit with no loading or ejecting issues. After seeing that it worked well, I gave it a good cleaning and then hooked it back up for photos where once again it played the VHS that came with the unit. Then, once attempting to eject the VHS again the tape came out with the tape still connected to the heads. This happened with a few other VHS tapes as well which is why I?m now listing this unit as mostly working instead of stating that it works 100%. It powers on, plays tapes, but for some reason after cleaning the unit it now tries to hold on to the tape when ejecting them. Could be a simple fix for someone who knows what they are doing.
