The vintage 1950s party dress is made of changeable taffeta, changing from blue to purple depending on the shadows and angles. It has a surplice V shaped neckline, short puffed sleeves, a fitted wide waistband with a dip in the front and back for a flattering fit. The skirt is very full. There is a side zip and a built-in stiff "slip," though you might want a petticoat to add to the fullness. No label, but it is definitely store-made. I am not sure if the fabric is silk.
