Item description

This is a porcelain 3-footed candy nut bowl, made in Japan, circa 1950-60"s. Lenwile china Ardalt sticker sold from Thorton's department store. They made many items after the war and marketed them to variety stores in the USA. It has a scalloped leaf shape, very pretty with gold trim and handle. Hand-painted with a scene from 1759 from French artist Francois Boucher. It measures approximately 5" by 4 3/16" wide, it is 1 1/4" deep. The lady I purchased everything from had lots of individual standalone pieces she purchased from antique stores, but she also had a home kiln that she made items with and then got together with friends and painted the pieces. Please check out my store for other beautiful items to decorate your home. Thanks!
