This paper mache doll is so charming with a wonderful and sweet painted face. I found this doll at an estate and I admit that I do not know anything about this doll or its provenance.. I've never had a similar doll so I can describe it to the best of my ability,, please look at the photos I"ve provided for the best description. I can tell the head is paper mache,, the arms are a fabric ( I can see the sew seam) that have been treated with a varnish? of some type to make them stiff and water repellant? or maybe just for longevity of the fabric.. The legs are similar stuffed fabric and are hardened but don't have the gloss of a varnish type treatment. Her hair is mussed and the braids are coming loose at the ends. The dress looks hand made and I can tell some of it is machine sewn. The dress is stained and dingy. The Sandals are made of leather or wood pieces. doll measures approx 9 inches. No odors and although the dress is very worn the rest of the doll is nice with no stains or damage. Quick ship non-smoking thanks!
