Item description

Up for sale this week is this beautiful dinnerware from Nippon China, floral boquet pattern, with a ring of yellow X's and O's alternating around the edge in 2 separate rows. I believe this is the 10th mark in the 1891-1921 era. This is a soup bowl that measures 7 3/4" across and is 2" deep, no chips or breaks in 8 of these, 1 has a stress crack that shows on front and back, see photo. The last picture is me trying to show that some are thicker than the others, early dishes are so interesting and unique to me! The lady that owned these had them stacked without anything in between each piece so some of the trim and gold is missing. It looks like she used all the dinner plates because they have faint utensils marks when you turn them in the light you can see these. They are also hand painted after they apply the glaze which is why the gold usually rubs off, but this set is in very good condition. I believe this used to be a set for 12, but over the years pieces have been broke. I do have a complete set for 8, but I am listing everything separately. Please check out my store, as I have many specialty pieces for this set. There are imperfections in the glaze of these pieces, they did a heavy over glaze and when it went in the kiln, some of the bubbles would pop making irregularities in the piece, like small black spots or some runs. It is a beautiful design, and will set an elegant table. If you would like to buy more than 1 item just email for a price. I have many items for sale and I can't be an expert on them all, so please email with questions before bidding and I'll try to answer you. I don't sale any items that are damaged without pointing to the flaws, but I am only human. All of my items come from estate sales and auctions, so they are considered used items and will be sold as is. These items came from a sale in West Texas. Thanks!
