Vintage Mexico Earrings Silver Black Mother Pearl Geometric Large 2 Inches Long Alpaca Mexico Iridescent Pink Color Art Deco Style Geometric Design Diamond Shapes Triangles Inlay Pierced Dangles This is a pair of gorgeous vintage earrings from Mexico. They are signed on the back "Alpaca Mexico”. They are done in a stunning geometric design, very Art Deco looking. There are triangles and diamond shapes made from inlay or inset Mother of Pearl and what I think is Black Onyx, difficult to tell. I'm calling this Mother of Pearl, but Mother of Pearl and Abalone are often used interchangeably. Abalone has a more dark rainbow shade when compared to Mother of Pearl, which has a more milky white shade. They are both from the same Mollusc. These earrings are most likely from the 1970s to 1980s. These earrings are in excellent vintage condition as you can see by the enlarged pictures. They are bright and shiny with no chips or cracks in the Mother of Pearl. There are a few spots of tarnish on the back and the edges. I did not polish them, that might buff out. They measure 2 inches long and 1 1/4 of an inch wide. These would be perfect to wear with that little black dress. They are stunning and definitely eye-catching beauties.
