Estate find - Chip and Dip set This is a rare piece, I was only able to find one other in my research. I believe this is a Metlox Poppytrail Corn chip 'n dip dish made in California. It isn't marked Poppytrail though like some pieces are, only made in USA Green and Yellow corn shaped. No obvious imperfections, no obvious chips or cracks or crazing that I see, there are dingschips on the each end though as per photos - the ceramic / pottery is dark so these are old dings. But you don't notice them since they are dark; they blend into the piece,Overall this is a really nice piece. good heavy weight - not light and cheap like the stuff made today the leaves of the corn are depressed and you put the dip or salsa or whatever there, and the chips or bread or whatever on the corn Approx measurements - 18.5 inches long, 9 inches cross at the widest part, the piece is about 2 - 2.5 inches deep more or less; give or take, this would be great for summer get togethers or fall tailgates, any time really. pretty cool piece cust720250x-lp BB25
