Beautiful hand-painted Meito china, made in Japan. It has a gold and green etching around the rim, with a floral bouquet of pink, blue, and purple flowers around the rim, also a gold etching around the center of the plate, circa 1950's. The plate is white in center and on back, it has an eggshell color around the rim. These dishes don't look like they were ever used, as there aren't any scratches from silverware that I could find. NOTE: This is a double-handled casserole or vegetable dish bowl with lid, the base is 3 1/4" tall and 8 1/2" wide. It is 11" wide with handles. Heavy gold on handles and knob on lid, a beautiful piece!
