SoVintageous is offering this fabulous, vintage, Margot De Taxco sterling silver brooch with sea-blue enamel, handmade in Taxco, Mexico. This is one of her earlier designs, probably from the early 1950's (silversmith Margot Van Voorhies Carr opened Margot De Taxco in 1947, having previously designed for Los Castillo) and is identified by it's inventory # 5384 stamped on the back. Also hallmarked on the back is "Margot De Taxco" and her Eagle Mark #16 that was specific to her only. The brooch is in near mint condition, there is absolutely no enamel loss and 3 tiny hairlines on the enamel at the end of the wave on the top left-hand corner (this is only visible when magnified), so, if you're a Margot De Taxco collector you won't do much better than this gem!!!
