Vintage Jan Michaels Angel Cherub Brass Filigree Brooch Pin Angels With Wings San Francisco Designer Artisan Hand Crafted Handmade Cupid Love Garlands Carnival Glass Style Cabochon Rainbow Coating Made in U.S.A. This is a gorgeous vintage filigree brass brooch made by Jan Michaels. Her studio is located in San Francisco, California. She is internationally known for her hand assembled intricate metal stampings that have a layered effect. Her timeless pieces of jewelry are truly wearable pieces of art. The back has her stamp which reads “Jan Michaels San Francisco”. There are two angels or cherubs with wings on each side of a bezel set cabochon of a multicolor rainbow coated glass or stone (it was difficult to photograph because of the reflections, the color is much more intense than in the pictures). Behind the angels is a filigree backing that the angels are attached to. The angels are holding a garland and there are flowers surrounding them. The brooch is in very good vintage condition as you can see by the enlarged photographs. There is some darkening on the back of the brooch on the rectangular tag. It measures approximately 2 inches by 1 inches. There is a secure rollover safety clasp pin closure on the back. The brass has a lovely patina to it, a very antiqued look. I did not clean it because many people prefer the older patina, I will leave that up to you if you so desire. This would make the perfect expression of love for that special person you care about.
