In August 1977 exactly 48 years ago was when they made this one but it suffered a Dive. The #1 enemy of Cuckoo clocks is by the owner Not reading the instructions setting the clock on a weak nail or screw and after a few winding it when straight down to the floor. Even thought it took us 4 days working on the housing especially the waiting for wood glue to dry, we simply did not give up on it. As you can see it?s almost perfect. We did some hiding by covering with art work and we use wood glue all internally at all critical joints to keep it strong for a long time to come. The movement was simply cleaned up and oiled and since it took that Dive more than likely was put away in a box and forgotten since then so that movement is Clean, Bright and Tight. We also installed new Bellow Tops. We added the Doe Fawn but they are not glued in place. Music box plays and unknown melody at the top of every hour after the coo-coo calls as the dancers goes around. ). Measures appx 14 inches high by 12 inches across and about 7 inches deep.
