Item description

Vintage Canadian Artist Leo Mallet Original Signed Oil Painting Leo Mallet was a prolific Canadian painter. Born in Shippegan, New Brunswick, after marrying, Leo moved to Niagara Falls, Montreal and Toronto before settling in Bradford. He was primarily self-taught, though he painted with and learned from some very experienced international artists. Leo preferred to use a knife to create most of his oil paintings. Much of his work was inspired by travel and was exhibited across Canada and the United States for decades. Painting measures 19 1/2" wide and 23 1/2" tall. Frame measures 22" wide, 1 1/4" deep and 26" tall.
