Vintage Bunny Rabbit Brooch Pin Sterling Silver Amethyst Handcrafted Figural Three Dimensional 3D Lifelike Hand Crafted Handmade Solid Substantial Heavy Piece Purple Gemstone Floral Easter Holiday Animal Nature Flower Unsigned Carol Felley? This is a vintage Sterling Silver and Amethyst Bunny Rabbit brooch or pin. I have seen ones identical to this rabbit made as a ring, and those were created by Carol Felley. This rabbit is unmarked, I did take it to the jewelry store and was told it is Sterling Silver. The beautifully finished brooch features a realistic rabbit that has an oval amethyst stone in front of its head by its mouth. The stone is in a pronged setting. The rabbit is surrounded by flowers and leaf accents. The brooch measures approximately 1 1/2 inches long and 1 inch wide. It is 3/4 of an inch tall from the bottom of the base to the top of the bunny's ears. It is quite heavy and weighs .70 ounces on my postage scale, which converts to 19.8 grams. The brooch is in great vintage condition as you can see by the many enlarged photographs. I have not polished it as it has a lovely patina forming and many people prefer the patina that only comes with age. This would make a great addition to anyone's collection of figural jewelry or unique artist designed wearable art.
