This is a vintage, probably 1920s, Art Nouveau style, Turnloc, brown tooled leather purse. It has a patient date inside of Oct 5, 1915-May 15, 1917. and 1918. We believe that is probably the patient date for the actual Turnloc mechanism and the purse may have been created in the 1920s. The turnloc works by twisting the Brass color tab as you gently pull back on the knob to open the purse. The purse measures 7 1/2 inches long by 6 1/2 wide, not including the handle. It's in beautiful condition both inside and outside.
