Item description

This is a genuine, West German made, ALWE, Old Spice, pewter lidded, beer glass stein etched with the Salem ship, Grand Turk 1786 design. The lid has a nautical star compass in relief on it. This would make an excellent, heavy drinking vessel, or a conversation piece on your mantel or desk. The Grand Turk was America's first great merchant ship. She was built in Salem and is oh so familiar to many as the ship on Old Spice bottles. It is signed ALWE in relief on the bottom of the base. It is in excellent vintage condition, with no cracks, chips, scratches, or missing etching. It has age appropriate patina on the pewter lid. It is about 7 โ€ tall and 4โ€ wide at the base. It holds 16 oz. of liquid.
