He was born in Deva, Romania (then Transylvania), and later studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Cluj. He graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Bucharest. His mediums are oil, acrylic, gouache, charcoal drawings and bronze sculptures. His works were influenced by Mane-Katz and Marc Chagall. In 1950 he emigrated to Israel, and his first large exhibition in Tel Aviv was in 1953. He died in 2002.
