This Vintage 1941 City of New York Department of Transportation Public Notice Poster is straight up awesome. This one specifically talks about the Bergen Street, St. Johns Place, and 3rd Avenue Lines being re-routed for the demolition of the Fulton Street "L" Structure. It was posted effective for Sunday, October 12, 1941. The subject matter includes Street Cars, Transportation, Infrastructure, and Public Works. It is 20" wide and 15" tall. This would display wonderfully in a home or business. A great piece of history.
Areas discussed are Court Street, Washington Street, Tillary Street, Dekalb Avenue, 7th Avenue, Park Row, Brooklyn Bridge, and Sand Street Trolley Station.
Only about 4 years later, street cars were removed and bus service was started.
