If you can't keep up, don't step up. You'll just die." A stunt convict breathing device from David Twohy's 2004 action sci-fi film The Chronicles of Riddick. The wanted criminal Richard Bruno Riddick (Vin Diesel) arrives on a planet called Helion Prime and finds himself up against an invading empire called the Necromongers, an army that plans to convert or kill all humans in the universe. This device and others like it were made for the production to be used in the scenes on Crematoria, when Riddick, Kyra (Alexa Davalos) and a group of convicts have to cross the dangerous terrain, outrunning the furious heat of the sun. Breathing devices can be seen attached to the clothing of the characters. The device is made of rubber and painted to look like metal. It has been intentionally distressed and tarnished to look well used. The piece has some wear from production use, including scuffs, scratches, and areas where the paint has worn away.
